eating out

I would like to preface this post by saying that going out to eat is privilege to most people don’t do it often therefore living a healthy lifestyle means indulging often on things you enjoy. Just like you won’t lose weight from one salad you won’t gain it from one cheeseburger.

However I also do understand some are on their own specific health journey and may be on a path to trying to live a healthier lifestyle, maybe lose a few pounds, tone up, stay in shape, whatever your goal may be. So it is also okay to choose some healthier options if thats the case or if you do happen to eat out often.

Some of the key things you want to look for on the menu are going to be: baked, seasoned, spiced, broiled, boiled. This means that the dish is usually made with little or no sauce, most likely just olive oil, seasonings, salt, and pepper, without all of the added calories and fat.

Another thing to consider is that eating out all the time is also not the healthiest option either, even if you are choosing the healthier options. Your best option is to cook yourself at home so that you can control exactly what goes into your dish.

Plus you can also play with the seasonings you may be surprised as to what you find yourself liking!
