FALL foods means color which means lots of vitamins and minerals !!

Below is a list of falls foods and all of their main health benefits:

Pumpkins are full of a lot of different vitamins. The vitamin that gives it that orange color is Vitamin A, which helps keep our eyes super healthy, our teeth and bones super strong, and improve our immune systems. This is a main reason why pumpkins are so great to eat in the fall and winter - kick that stupid cold!


Pumpkin seeds
 are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids which help improve your heart health, eye health, and fight depression and anxiety (those winter blues). They're also high in fiber and help lower blood sugar levels.
β€” So next time you make pumpkin soup, don't throw out those pumpkin seeds! Roast them with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper -- or check out my recipe for a little more flavor!


Butternut Squash
 may be my favorite fall food! It is also that orange color as well because it's packed with Vitamin A. It contains Vitamin E which helps with mental health and decreases your risk of Alzheimers, I mean it’s never too early to start thinking about these things! Butternut squash can also help with weight loss being that its low in calories and high in fiber. 

Apples contain a high value of flavonoids and fiber. Flavonoids can reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and help protect your body from (free radicals) the harmful things in the air that cause diseases like cancer. 

Cinnamon is delicious and beneficial! Try to add cinnamon to many of your dishes this season because it is full of anti-inflammatory properties. It helps your body fight infections and help repair any damage to tissues (those cuts, scrapes, and sore muscles).

Those with diabetes - cinnamon is extremely beneficial to improving insulin sensitivity
